Not many people know the abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore but it is a real pearl. Everyone knows Pienza.

• From Passo dei pecorai south heading towards Siena. The time in both the autopalous and SR222 is identical but you see fewer things.
• On the navigator, to get to Monte Oliveto Maggiore, you have to make a detour to Pienza but there is much more to see.
• So go first to Monte Oliveto Maggiore.
• In the evening, Pienza is truly a handkerchief.

• From Passo dei pecorai Nord up to Ponte di Gabbiano
• Left to San Casciano V.P.
• Straight to Sambuca val di Pesa.
• The Tavarnelle and stop to Barberino Val d'Elsa.
• Then Again set navigator "Linari". Stop there.
• When you start again you have to arrive to Poggibonsi drive around and take direction N-NW to Certaldo.
• Park the car and go to the Top Certaldo, the old village. A day in Certaldo in july during "Mercantia" Festival, need you there. Please check the website for details and dates.

The most beautiful gulf in the world, "Cala Violina" (violin), the sand in music, Castiglion della Pescaia, Populonia.

• Left to San Casciano V.P.
• Straight to Sambuca val di Pesa.
• At the T junction, take a right and then left and autopalio up to Colle V.E.
• Set navigator to Massa Marittima. Possible stop.

Then your choice.
Cala violina: its name derives the sound produced by the particular sand under your feet while you walk. Literally sand "plays" like a violin. You enjoy the wonderful sunsets. Free beach is a "heritage" of all this place. A 1.5km walk from the guarded parking area. Bring your baby food, water, and a lamp. If you return after one of the spectacular sunsets, to walk back to the car.

Gulf of Baratti-Populonia. The most beautiful gulf in the world. You are in Etruscan land, like here with us. You breathe the etruscan air and there are ruins right on the beach. Tendentially very crowded because of its extraordinary beauty. You still have the opportunity to visit Populonia at the top of the hill. There is the fortress and in the municipality, also a series of things to do outside like the archaeological park of Populonia and Baratti. For more information on timetables, visit the website.
Castiglione della Pescaia. Pearl of the extruscious sea. At the top of the hill it is very beautiful. I love that place and for the evening, after a day on the beach, very suitable for a nice fish and a walk on foot. Romantic.
